We live broadcast the Golden Joystick Awards
Presented by Julia Hardy (Radio 1) and James Veitch at the Indigo O2, the 34th annual awards recognised the best video games of the year as voted by the British public.
Awards included Best PlayStation Game, Best Xbox Game, Best Indie Game and the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year. Our camera crew captured all the action which was live broadcasted to YouTube, gaining just under 40,000 views. The broadcast featured interviews with producers and developers of the biggest games of the moment, as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage and previews of the next big game releases.

Filming at the Unsigned Music Awards
Continuing with our streak of work on exciting award shows, we provided a camera team to film at the Unsigned Music Awards, held on Thursday 27th October.
Hosted by Laura Whitmore (MTV) and Chris Stark (BBC Radio 1), the Unsigned Music Awards are the first-ever televised awards show to be exclusively dedicated to celebrating the achievements of unsigned music talent.
Our camera crew captured all the action which was streamed live on to large screens around the venue, London’s Troxy. The footage was then aired on Monday 31st October on Sky, Freesat and Freeview.
Building a presence at UK Construction Week
From 18th – 20th October we created a brand new Event TV channel at the UK’s largest construction trade event, UK Construction Week. Thousands flocked to the NEC in Birmingham to see the latest innovations and hear from the biggest names in the industry.
UK Construction Week TV captured all the action with presenter Jo Dyson, interviewing visitors, sponsors, exhibitors and key speakers as well as exploring all the latest trends and developments and panel discussions. The channel was streamed online and around the NEC (including to our bug LED impact screen), keeping everyone up to date about what was going on around the event and encouraging visitors to explore new areas. We also created a series of highlights videos which summarised all the best bits.
Show Director Nathan Garnett discusses the value of having Event TV at the UK Construction Week and how it brought life to the event, whilst also providing them with long term content to use after the show finished.
Live In Barcelona at CPhI
At an event with more than 36,000 pharma industry professionals looking to source new suppliers, build partnerships and discover the latest trends, it was vital to offer a quality content network to share updates and promote what was happening around the event.
Fronted by presenters Dr David Bull, David McClelland and Tina Edwards, CPhI TV streamed live and recorded coverage of interviews, demonstrations, panel discussions and more around the event to the five impact LED screens, also provided by Silverstream.
Many exhibitors purchased airtime packages, which turned the channel into a great revenue stream for CPhI.
Here are the highlights from the third and final day
Launching Event TV Lite at Speciality and Fine Foods Fair
Event TV has been one of our key (and most exciting) specialisms here at Silverstream TV for some time now, and as our customer base grows, we’ve been offering various packages to ensure that the unique energy of every event we do is captured and shared in the best possible way.
Enter Event TV Lite, a new service designed especially for events where the scale and live nature of full Event TV isn’t necessarily required.
Event TV Lite consists of a flexible channel which can stream a variety of content, including ads, video content, automated digital signage and our live TwitterWall. In a similar way to Event TV, our team of camera crews and presenters can record a series of captivating content early in the event which can be added to the channel and played across a network of screens across the event. The channel can be managed through our very own in-house software.
The Speciality and Fine Foods Fair 2016 in London’s Olympia was the perfect opportunity for us to launch this brand new offering. We supplied our screens throughout the venue and streamed a variety of content across the screens.
Here’s Event Director Soraya Gadelrab talking about the value it bought to the show.
Our LED Screen Cooks Up a Storm at the Great Taste Awards
The 2016 Great Taste Golden Fork Awards provided the perfect opportunity for Silverstream to launch our brand new super-wide LED screen for the very first time.
The 12m x 2m high resolution screen provided the backdrop for the entire stage, displaying animated artwork, winner interviews, a Twitter Wall and live footage of the event throughout the evening.
This hugely enhanced the event from previous years, where a static set was used alongside seperate screens. With the new wide screen, imagery could be seamlessly played across the whole backdrop, creating a stunning visual display to make for an unforgettable event. In addition, our in-house editorial team designed the graphics for the screen, which was live managed on the night by our technicians.
And that wasn’t all Silverstream provided. No awards show would be complete without some great footage of the stage, winner interviews, and all the other fun throughout the night. Our team of professional camera operators and talented creatives captured a fantastic record of the awards, which was used for live tweeting and a highlights video shown at the end of the night.
The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. The Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.
John Farrand, head of the Guild of Fine Foods, talks about how valuable Silverstream's services were in making the Great Taste Awards a fantastic evening to remember.
