We turn the National Trust AGM into a live online event

Each year the National Trust holds their annual general meeting, open to all members. With over 5 million subscribers, they need to ensure those who are unable to attend in person have a way of participating at home.

Silverstream TV delivered a live multi-camera production at the 2017 AGM which took place at Swindon's STEAM Museum. We broadcasted the entire all-day event, which included an introduction, formal address, and mutiple different segments over 6 hours, live to the Trust's website.

For those watching at home, we delivered a two-way chat platform, embedded with the stream. This enabled members at home to post live questions to the Trust, who could then read and answer the questions in real time, directly underneath the comment. Post-event, the different segments from the day are available for on-demand viewing.

At the venue, we provided 85 inch LCD displays either side of the stage with a live feed from our cameras. Additionally we provided an overflow room with a screen, for members of the press to be able to follow the event.

Cooking up a tasty live channel at The Restaurant Show

We took this year's Restaurant Show to the next level when we created a live TV channel across the entire show, bringing all of our key services together for one comprehensive production.

With presenters Anna Walker, Nigel Barden and David McClelland, we conducted live interviews, stand visits and demonstrations, exploring all the tastiest bits of the UK's definitive event for the restaurant and foodservice industry.

Suspended from the roof of London's Olympia we placed our big LED screen, which played the channel for everyone in the venue to see, wherever they were. During breaks in the live channel, it displayed our live updating SocialWall and real-time digital signage.

On Day 2 the channel was dominated by the prestigious National Chef of the Year competition, which took place on the show floor. We followed the live action in true Bake Off style, live streaming to online, the LED screen and a smaller screen in the middle of the kitchen area.

Our on-site editing team also served up daily highlights and social clips for online channels and the screens, combining all the best bits of for those who missed the live stream.

A real recipe for success!
