The Challenge

The Guild of Fine Food, enlisted us in 2014 to provide video production and screen display solutions at their annual Great Taste Awards ceremony, celebrating the very best of the products and companies who have received a Great Taste stamp of approval over the past year.

The 2016 and 2017 awards ceremony provided the perfect opportunity for Silverstream to launch our brand new super-wide LED screen for the first time. The 12m x 2m high res display needed to provide the backdrop for the entire stage, displaying animated artwork, winner interviews, our SocialWall and a live feed of the ceremony throughout the evening.

The screen hugely enhanced the event from previous years, where a more static set was used. With the new wide screen, imagery could be seamlessly played across the whole backdrop, creating a stunning visual display to make for an unforgettable event. Our in-house editorial team designed all the graphics for the screen, which was live managed on the night by our technicians. It also displayed our live SocialWall during the intervals, enabling guests to engage with the event through social media.

Video Production

No awards show would be complete without some great footage of the stage, winner interviews, and all the other fun throughout the night. We provided our unique Video at the Speed of Twitter service, capturing each award announcement and winner acceptance, editing and posting to Twitter before the winner had even returned to their seat!

Our team of professional camera operators and talented creatives also captured a fantastic record of the awards, which was used for live tweeting and a highlights video shown at the end of the night.
